When you call
It may help speed up the lodgment of your claim if you have the following information handy:

- Original medical or dental reports. We need written confirmation of your illness or injury from a qualified member of the medical or dental profession.
Luggage claims – loss or theft
- A copy of the report you lodged with the police or the carrier from where the loss or theft was reported
- Evidence of ownership, such as declarations, original receipts, valuations, photographs, operating manuals.
Cancellation expenses
- Original receipts, tickets or
- A letter from the travel agent showing any charges to rearrange or cancel your journey or
- A doctor’s certificate or a letter from the carrier
What happens next
Luggage claims
We will decide whether to:
- Repair the luggage
- Replace the luggage with the nearest equivalent new luggage
- Pay you the cost of repair or replacement
Cancellation expenses claims for frequent flyer purchases
If we agree to settle your claim for cancellation and you have bought your ticket using frequent flyer points or a similar scheme:
- We take the equivalent retail cost of your flight minus your financial contribution
- Then multiply this figure by the total number of points lost; and
- Divide by the total number of points used to obtain your original ticket.
Excess
An excess of $50 applies to each claim.
